As a Lawyer

I am a New Delhi-based Advocate-on-Record practicing before the Supreme Court of India. I have 12 years of experience as a lawyer and an independent legal practice for the past 6 years.

I have studied at the University of Oxford (M.Sc. Law & Finance, 2015), and at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal (B.A.LL.B. Hons., 2011).

My schooling was split between Bombay & Delhi. I graduated from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, New Delhi in 2006 as a Science Stream student!

Prior to setting up my practice, I worked as an in-house counsel (Vedanta Resources Plc.), a business manager (CL Educate Ltd.), an expat tax consultant in an international U.K.-based firm (Trotman Repp Limited now Citrine International) and a litigator.

“My practice focuses on business-related legal advisory and litigation with a strong academic foundation coupled with global best practices.”

My unique non-linear work background of working on both the client and attorney sides has helped me gain in-depth insight across a broad spectrum of clients ranging from large-scale businesses to employees working in corporate set-ups, from start-ups to entrepreneurs, and from individuals to inter-governmental entities.

“I'm passionate about providing legal advice to individuals and businesses, and I'm always  looking to find a creative solution to any legal problem.”

Within the ambit of my legal practice (set up in 2018), I have represented clients across a variety of sectors like Management Consulting, Agro-Commodity Trading, Automobile Manufacture, Information Technology, Educational Institutions, Green Financing Consultancy, Architecture, Construction, Artificial Intelligence based start-ups, Elevator & Escalator Manufacture, uPVC Manufacture, Global Technology for Vehicle Manufacture, Indigenous Art, Employer-on-Record consultancy, Media groups for cash investments, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Fintech, Insurtech (Actuary) and others.

“My practice aims to enable transactions and we handhold our clients through negotiations, pitches, legal complexities & transactions, operational legalities and litigation.”

As an Educator

Ever since I was a kid, my parents instilled in me the importance of good teachers & education.

“Good education has the potential of being life-changing and I truly believe in that.”

Growing up in the national capital (New Delhi) - a metropolitan city, and having a family background in higher education, I have had access to some of the best teachers (who have also been my mentors) and educational institutions nationally & globally.

In 2011, I started my professional journey in the small town of Korba (in Chhattisgarh) working with a large multi-national entity (Vedanta Resources Plc).

It was here that I realised the lack of access to quality education across India and also the importance of it. Since then, I have been guiding and mentoring students from high school, under-graduation, and post-graduation courses.

“I look at every assignment as an opportunity to enhance knowledge.”

I feel strongly about increasing access to quality education as a means to improving the quality of life. With this aim, I have been regularly devoting a part of my time to various knowledge-sharing initiatives.

I enjoy curating, designing & delivering unique courses that help bridge the gap between practice and academia.

"I regularly deliver inter-disciplinary seminar courses on the interface of law and design thinking, data & privacy laws, business transactions through agreements, product & innovation laws and several others.

Over the years, I have taught and addressed students across several national and international institutions such as:

As a Linguist

If not a lawyer, I might have been a linguist.  But my mother said, “Why not be both?!”

So here I am, experimenting with finding the right words!

My love for a good challenge led me to learn Tamil, ancient Brahmi script, Sanskrit, Hungarian, Urdu and (the comparatively easier) French!

Hungarian is considered one of the toughest European languages - the natives believe it too!

I have studied Hungarian at the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre, New Delhi and was subsequently the sole Indian student to be awarded the “Tempus Public Foundation” Scholarship to further study the Hungarian Language and Culture at the University of Pécs in 2015.

I have also been awarded scholarships for Sanskrit by the Delhi Sanskrit Academy and the Prof. Subur Parthasarthi scholarship for Tamil at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, New Delhi.
